How to apply Filters to the whole Databoard while previewing it

Sometimes, you may want to filter or break down a Databoard by a specific value for example by country, region, or sales rep - without editing the Databoard itself. This can be done directly while viewing or previewing the Databoard in Databox.

There are two powerful ways to do this: Breakdown by Dimension and Apply Filter.

Breakdown the Databoard by a specific Dimension

1. Open a Databoard URL or preview a Databoard inside Databox.

2. Click Filter data at the bottom of the Databoard.

3. Under Breakdown by, select the Dimension you want to use (e.g., Country).

All Dimensions used in any Metric on the Databoard will appear here.

Note: If a selected Dimension isn’t shared across all Metrics, those Metrics will show no data.

Apply a filter across the entire Databoard

1. After selecting a Breakdown Dimension, click Filter.

2. Choose the value you want to filter for (e.g., United States).

3. The entire Databoard will now reflect data only for that selection.

These features are especially helpful when presenting the same dashboard to different teams, regions, or clients—without duplicating or editing the original setup.
