How to Create a Centralized Overview of Your Data and Set Up Seamless Monthly Reporting
Some teams want a centralized hub for all their key Metrics and a way to stay regularly updated without logging in daily. In Databox, this can be accomplished by combining Loops, Scheduled Snapshots, and Reports.
Here’s how to set this up:
1. Centralize your insights with Loops
Use Loops to rotate through multiple Databoards in one view. This is ideal for setting up a live reporting screen in the office or bringing together different KPIs (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance) in one continuous flow.
To set it up:
Navigate to your Databoards.
Click Loop and add the relevant Databoards.
You can set custom timing and full-screen mode for ongoing visibility.
2. Automate monthly updates with Scheduled Snapshots
Scheduled Snapshots allow you to send Databoard previews directly to stakeholders’ emails. You can:
Set the snapshot to send on the 1st of each month.
Customize the date range (e.g. Last Month).
Include a live link so recipients can explore the full dashboard on their own.
This is a great way to keep teams updated without requiring them to log in.
3. Add context and narrative with Reports
Reports allow you to combine Databoards with written notes, explanations, and highlights. You can:
Annotate key takeaways from the data.
Summarize monthly wins and areas for improvement.
Present data with more storytelling for internal or client-facing meetings.
By combining these three features, you’ll build a reporting system that’s informative, easy to manage, and designed for maximum clarity.
