How to present data using the Pageless Layout

If you’re looking for a smoother, more web-like experience when presenting data, Databox offers a Pageless layout in Reports offers a clean and continuous way to showcase insights without breaking them into traditional slides.

By default, new Reports start in Pageless mode. This layout is ideal for scrolling through a cohesive story, especially when you want to present results without the disruption of slide transitions. If needed, you can easily switch back to the Slides layout at any time from the top menu.

How to Set Up and Work with Pageless Reports

  1. Start a New Report: Navigate to the Reports page and click on +New Report.

  2. Switch Between Layouts: Use the layout toggle in the top bar to switch between Pageless and Slides modes at any point. This gives you flexibility depending on how you want to present the data.

  3. Pageless mode does not support the following elements, however, these elements are preserved in the background but will only appear again if you return to Slides mode:

    • Slide background colors or images

    • Slide titles

    • Slide notes

  4. Personalize your report by adding a cover photo or emojis, making it visually engaging for viewers.

What happens if I switch from Pageless back to Slides Mode?

When converting a Pageless Report back to Slides, Databox will auto-organize your content:

  • Each slide will contain either a full Databoard or up to two rows of content

  • Titles trigger a new slide

  • A Cover Slide can include an image, a title, and optional text

  • Empty slides will be removed, and any notes from deleted slides will be reassigned to nearby slides
