Why does my metric not show any data from before the data source was connected?

Current Metrics in Databox do not have historical data available immediately when you start using them. They begin to create historical data over time as long as they are not removed from the databoard.

The Instagram Business metric New Followers is an example current metric. If you connected Instagram Business to Databox on February 20th and add the metric onto a Databoard (so it starts to sync), it will build historical data from that point forward, which is why you may not see data for previous months.

To ensure that historical data is generated, the metric must be used in a databoard or any other feature in Databox. If you notice any issues with metrics not displaying data, check the Technical Details by clicking on More About this Metric. If the Metric type is Current or Calculated, this behavior is expected and not an error.
