If you're comparing projected targets vs. actual performance, Databox makes it easy to visualize both. This approach is commonly used in sales, marketing, and finance to monitor progress toward monthly or quarterly goals.
In Databox, the Projected value can be set as a Goal, while the Actual is represented by the metric you’re tracking and visualizing on a dashboard.
How to set up Projected vs Actual tracking
Add your Actual metric to a Databoard (e.g., Revenue, Leads, MQLs).
Open the Datablock Editor on the right hand side.
Scroll down to the Compare With option and set it to Goal. A new button will pop up prompting you to create a goal.
Select the Metric you want to track the goal for.
You can now either manually type in the goal values, or set the goal value to Other metric if another metric you track represents the target values (projected values).
This setup allows you to see how close you are to hitting your projections, monitor trends, and quickly spot when performance is ahead or behind target.
