Understanding performance at the campaign level helps you optimize spend, targeting, and creative decisions. Databox makes this easy by offering both prebuilt Campaign-specific Metrics and the ability to create Custom Campaign Metrics using the Metric Builder for Facebook Ads (Ads Reporting).
Use Basic Facebook Ads Metrics
Databox provides a variety of Basic Facebook Ads Metrics that allow you to analyze Campaign data out of the box. These include Amount Spent by Campaign, Impressions by Campaign, CTR by Campaign, and Purchases by Campaign.
To access these Metrics:
In Databox, navigate to Metrics → Metric Library.
Select Facebook Ads from the Data Source dropdown.
Enter Campaign in the search bar to filter for all Campaign-specific Metrics.
Use Metric Builder to build Custom Metrics
For additional flexibility, you can use the Metric Builder for Facebook Ads (Ads Reporting) to create Custom Metrics tied to your campaigns.
In Databox, go to Metrics → Custom Metrics.
Click + New Custom Metric.
Select your connected Facebook Ads Account from the Data Source dropdown.
Choose the Metric you’d like to track from the Metric dropdown. Some Metrics (like Clicks, Reach, or Spend) are available directly.
For Metrics like Actions, an additional Action Type dropdown will appear. From here, you can select Metrics such as Link Clicks, Page Likes, or Post Engagements. Any custom actions created in your Facebook Ads account will also be available here.
In the Dimension field, select Campaign. This ensures the Metric is broken down by the Campaign where it was tracked.
Example: To track Spend by Campaign, choose Spend as the Metric and Campaign as the Dimension.
Example: To track Impressions by Campaign, choose Impressions as the Metric and Campaign as the Dimension.
Click Preview data to generate a Data Preview of the Custom Metric.
Once confirmed, click Save.
