How to Track Impressions, Link Clicks and more from Instagram via Facebook Ads in Databox

If you're running Instagram Ads through Facebook Ads, you can use Databox to report on performance Metrics like Impressions, Link Clicks, Conversions, and more that are filtered specifically for Instagram. You can also filter the results by a specific Ad, Campaign, or any other Dimension.

To do this, you’ll need to build a Custom Metric using the Facebook Ads Metric Builder.

How to set up a Custom Metric for Instagram Link Clicks

  1. Open Metric Builder and select Facebook Ads as the Data Source.

  2. Set the Metric to Inline Link Clicks (or any other performance Metric you want to track).

  3. Set the Dimension to Campaign.

  4. Add a Filter:

    1. Publisher Platform contains Instagram.

  5. Name your Custom Metric and click Save.


Once saved, you can add this Custom Metric to your Databoard and track Instagram ad performance alongside other paid channels.
