To better understand who is clicking or viewing your ads, you can break down Sessions by Country, Region, or City using Google Analytics 4 in Databox. This helps assess where your traffic is coming from and how specific geographic areas are engaging with your website.

How to report on Sessions by Country

  1. Open Metric Builder and select Google Analytics 4 as the Data Source.

  2. Set the Metric to Sessions.

  3. Set the Dimension to Country.

This will show a breakdown of total sessions by country in your selected date range.



How to report on Sessions by Region or City for a specific country

  1. Open Metric Builder and select Google Analytics 4 as the Data Source.

  2. Start by setting the Metric to Sessions and the Dimension to Country.

  3. Preview the data and identify the country you want to filter for (e.g., United States).

  4. Add a Filter by Dimension:

    1. Country contains United States

  5. Change the main Dimension from Country to Region or City.

  6. Name and save your Custom Metric, and visualize the breakdown in a table.
