If you're comparing Instagram Reach in Databox to what you see in the Instagram Business app, you might notice a difference in the reported numbers—and that's expected.
This discrepancy comes down to how Reach is calculated:
The Instagram Business UI reports unique reach over the full date range, removing duplicate users across days.
Databox, on the other hand, sums daily reach values, which means a single user who sees your content on multiple days will be counted more than once. That's why the value in Databox is usually higher.
Example
If 1,000 unique users view your post on both Monday and Tuesday and you look at the "This Week" Date Range:
Instagram will report 1,000 unique user views
Databox will report 2,000 (1,000 from each day added together)
This difference is due to Instagram's internal deduplication across time periods, while Databox reports each day's Reach as-is and then sums it up for the total.
